Structural Technologist

Westshore Structural Engineering Ltd. is a Structural Engineering firm located in Nanaimo and Victoria (Langford) on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. We provide service to private and public sector clients on a wide variety of building and bridge projects throughout Western Canada. Westshore Structural Engineering Ltd. is a well-respected engineering firm who takes pride in quality service and efficient structural solutions for our clients. We are a rapidly growing engineering firm and are currently seeking a full-time Structural Technologist to join our team in our Nanaimo and/or Victoria Office. This is an in-office position – not a remote position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide structural drafting duties on a wide variety of commercial, residential, industrial and bridge projects in Western Canada.
• Work with and oversee junior technicians and technologists in the preparation of structural documents.
• Work to and meet project time-lines.
• Co-ordinate project requirements with the design team
• Create backgrounds from architectural plans.
• Perform structural field reviews during construction.
• Operate within the Professional Practice Management Plan (PPMP) system.

Qualifications:
