Brian Lange, P.Eng
Principal / Senior Structural Engineer
Based in our Victoria office, Brian brings over 25 years of structural engineering experience to projects across British Columbia’s West Coast. He specializes in timber, concrete, and steel design, with a focus on residential, commercial, and institutional buildings. His background includes major school system upgrades and complex renovations, and he holds EGBC certification for school seismic projects. Brian leads our Victoria team with a strong commitment to project coordination, schedule efficiency, and collaborative design.
Khanh Tran, MA Sc, P.ENG
Principal / Senior Structural Designer
Khanh manages our Nanaimo office and has over 24 years of experience across commercial, residential, educational, and healthcare projects. His deep knowledge of concrete and steel structures, especially in high-performance and cost-efficient building systems, makes him a trusted engineering partner throughout British Columbia and Alberta. Khanh is known for his client-focused planning, technical oversight, and ability to lead complex, multi-team projects with precision and care.
Ted Sorensen, BASc
Principal / Senior Structural Designer
With more than 35 years in structural engineering, Ted has helped shape the built environment across Vancouver Island and Western Canada. He’s led projects spanning everything from timber-frame homes to large-scale civic infrastructure. Known for his practical, hands-on approach, Ted bridges the gap between design intent and construction efficiency. In addition to technical design, Ted currently oversees business operations and client partnerships, helping ensure Westshore’s high standards are reflected across every project.
